Two years after the POM 2016, COC – Clube de Orientação do Centro, returns to Penamacor, in partnership with the Penamacor City Council, to organize the Penamacor International Orienteering Meeting (PIOM) 2018.
Penamacor is a Municipality with excellent conditions for Tourism and Sports in Nature, so PIOM will certainly be remembered as one more high-quality sporting event.
PIOM 2018 is a Foot Orienteering event, a World Ranking Event of the International Orienteering Federation (IOF WRE) and integrated in the Federation’s Portuguese Cup ranking, open to people of any age, being able to participate in the competition or in the open classes, individually, or in groups.
The PIOM will consist of the following events:
• February 16, 2018 – Training events (Model Events);
• February 17, 2018 – Middle Distance – Rachã;
• February 17, 2018 – Urban Night Sprint – Penamacor;
• February 18, 2017 – Long Distance (WRE) – Dongalinho;
The final classification will be defined by the sum of the points of the 3 competition stages.
The organization welcomes all participants in PIOM 2018.
